• Under Level 25: No Penalty.
• Level 25: Starting here Wand damage will scale depending on both your Level and your Wand’s Tier. So if for instance you where wielding a Tier II (Grey) item, then you would receive a slight penalty.
• Level 30: The penalty for wielding Tier II and Tier I Wands is increased slightly.
• Level 40: The penalty for wielding Tier II and Tier I Wands is at its highest.
• It is important to note that any penatly for wielding Wands, regardless of your Level, will only affect Wands in Tier II and Tier I. Meaning Tier II (Blue/Rare) Wands and above will not incur any penalty.

Remember though guys that these changes have not yet been implemented. The balance changes will be put into effect some time during Monday 7th April 2008, which gives you guys a couple of days to make provisions against these changes. Keep reading for more information on the upcoming balance changes.

In addition, Shields will be changed to incorporate their Block value to mitigate some Wand damage. This should hopefully bolster Assassins and especially Warriors who have been struggling to deal with the high damage dealt by Wands using only one Weapon and a Shield.

And in a final change the Warrior Action Unbalancing Strike will be modified slightly to include Intelligence as one of the factors which the Action will decrease. The updated Action description is listed below:

Unbalancing Strike: A heavy strike that throws off your opponent reducing their Strength, Intelligence, chance to Dodge and Block by 7% for 5 turns.

Good news for hardcore Ladder players was brought today as it was announced any duels conducted through Ladders would now count towards a players Avatar W/L record - meaning they would be eligible for Badge rewards!

Miyatana is released officially tomorrow at 3pm EST, and will cost a hefty 250 tokens. Hopefully there shouldn’t be any repeat issues of the 300 token pricing of Yumeria Rising crisis with this decision. Anyway, good luck with your complimentary pack opening Noble/Patron members

Updates:

• Miyatana (that’s a new set of items our players have been dying for just in case you don’t know)….should I even bother with the rest of the list.
• Ladder fights now count towards your record and fight badges.
• Fixed a couple bugs that were resulting in people with, apparently, 0 health still continuing to fight. They actually had somewhere between 0 and 1 health but hopefully that won’t happen any longer.
• Brought some more administrative capabilities online. The first thing you’ll notice is NPC’s using openers very soon. The next thing you’ll notice is new NPC’s kicking your *ss.
• Bonus Noble Set II Pack for all members.
• Paging added to your Items page - faster loads and more organization.
• Armory now remembers your expanding and collapsing of the various Sets.

Miyatana can be purchased with Noblestones by members only until tomorrow (April 4th) at 3 PM EST. At that time, they will be available to everyone.

There’s plenty of information floating around, with TCGPlayer.com rocking their exclusive preview of the set with coverage of two never before seen Legendary items. The set itself is due for release this Friday, and for those Noble/Patron Members you’ll get two complimentary packs on the Thursday before the public release.

Whilst a good idea initially, it appears as though Vendor Wands critting for 300, whilst your opponents Furies tap away at a minuscule 250, has lead a surge of Mages and Druids to hit the top of the Top Duelist Ladder.

We are going to be making a couple of changes to the way that wand damage is calculated. Tomorrow afternoon we will make a small reduction in wand damage on a global scale. In addition, we will tweak the Critical/Extreme formulas, to put a bit less emphasis on Intelligence.
