When looking at Miyatana plenty of new strategic options have been presented for the wilted Warriors, not at least of all FIVE Swords!
Here is my review of Miyatana, well, I guess you could call it a review - but it is really a stub to help ensure that my pretty PHP code is working as intended, hopefully it is, uber- hopefully.
After controversy enthralled the Duels forum over changes to Wand damage to incorporate Intelligence as a factor, the Developers have now decided to change the way Wand damage is calculated. This change will have varying affects depending on your Level, and your Wand’s Tier - the breakdown is featured below:
Under Level 25: No Penalty.
Level 25: Starting here Wand damage will scale depending on both your Level and your Wand’s Tier. So if for instance you where wielding a Tier II (Grey) item, then you would receive a slight penalty.
Level 30: The penalty for wielding Tier II and Tier I Wands is increased slightly.
Level 40: The penalty for wielding Tier II and Tier I Wands is at its highest.
It is important to note that any penatly for wielding Wands, regardless of your Level, will only affect Wands in Tier II and Tier I. Meaning Tier II (Blue/Rare) Wands and above will not incur any penalty.
Remember though guys that these changes have not yet been implemented. The balance changes will be put into effect some time during Monday 7th April 2008, which gives you guys a couple of days to make provisions against these changes. Keep reading for more information on the upcoming balance changes.
Whats this?! A competitively consistent Warrior build? Yes, your eyes do not deceive you; combined together with effective equipment, a dedicated approach to strategically analysing your challenges - the build of the Fortified Armor Warrior is once again on the ascent to Top Duelist Ladder stardom.
Here is a wee bit of text relating to Wand Slingers, who follow the High Path of the Mage and tend to specialise in the Attributes of Intelligence and Speed. Performing rather excellently thanks to recent changes in Wand damage calculations.
The update we have ALL been waiting for has finally arrived
Meaning of course only one thing, Miyatana is here and ready for our gluttonous consumption. 150,000 Miyatana packs have been released, which is slightly more than the last set, Noble II. However, the quality of Miyatana appears to supersede almost any set ever released! With 4 Legendary Armory pieces, 5 Legendary Swords alone, and plenty of variety through the sets Epic and Rare items it should prove to be a game changing set!
Good news for hardcore Ladder players was brought today as it was announced any duels conducted through Ladders would now count towards a players Avatar W/L record - meaning they would be eligible for Badge rewards!
Miyatana is released officially tomorrow at 3pm EST, and will cost a hefty 250 tokens. Hopefully there shouldn’t be any repeat issues of the 300 token pricing of Yumeria Rising crisis with this decision. Anyway, good luck with your complimentary pack opening Noble/Patron members
It’s that time again for a new set release, and the Duels Developers have been hard at work teasing us with snippets, previews, and hints of what to expect from the first new set from the generally disappointing Noble II set. Miyatana is a themed set like that of Yumeria Rising, and will include for the first time TWO Artifact items!
There’s plenty of information floating around, with TCGPlayer.com rocking their exclusive preview of the set with coverage of two never before seen Legendary items. The set itself is due for release this Friday, and for those Noble/Patron Members you’ll get two complimentary packs on the Thursday before the public release.
